Peru 2025

For over 15 years, the Amoria Bond Charitable Trust has partnered with Project Peru to support community projects in the shantytown region of Las Laderas, in the foothills of Lima.

In that time, we’ve built over 120 homes, 4 soup kitchens, expanded a children’s refuge, and delivered hundreds of Christmas care packages to the community living in one of the poorest regions in the world.

In June 2025, 10 volunteers from across the group travelled to Las Laderas to support Project Peru's ongoing efforts on the ground, building more homes and getting to know the community.

£30,000 Raised

Volunteers on our 7th trip landed in Las Laderas on the 14th June 2025, where they spent a week living in Project Peru's children's refuge, spending time with the kids and getting to know the community.

During the day they worked with local builders to carry materials to the site, and assemble two new homes for local families. The project continues, with 20 homes and soup kitchen being built with the money raised by the volunteers and their colleagues, families and friends.

All money raised is going to the refuge, with the team working with Project Peru to plan additional activity where it will make the most difference.
